The young golfer can count on multiple prominent supporters when she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates numerous international courses and often competes against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she revealed.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He basically suggested to play and have fun," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, Kai has participated in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains the 461st position in AJGA rankings.
But she's able to receive tips from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.
"He stands as the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a superior person. He advised me to compete, have fun, and go with the flow."
She'll challenge some of top competitors in professional golf at the competition, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai brings the sport to new audiences, especially among younger fans.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and recently launched an exclusive fashion and living company.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
