Assassin's Creed Unveils Surprising AoT Crossover for Holiday Season

In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Uncovered

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden group.

The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Bonus Features

Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana alongside several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

• Mikasa outfit for Naoe
• Special arms
• Survey Corps mount

Third Free Story Addition

This patch also brings the game's third complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma." This playful adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature skills: Naoe debuts a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-fatal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
