Following a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the entire collection carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist multiple package options available here.
The standout feature is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.
An imaginative landscape chart created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.
The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.
Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package contains these components:
All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents from almost any perspective. Users can also create character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for cartography beginners since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.
Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option is toward the top of the page, though users may also choose their donation amount on the right side of the page. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down immediately below, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
